25-year anniversary symposium
Belgoprocess exists 25 years in November of this year. The company launched its celebrations with a technical symposium on 15 October 2009 at the Bibliothèque Solvay, a prestigious jewel of Art Nouveau architecture in the heart of Brussels, followed by an evening banquet at the Belgian Comic Strip Centre. On Friday 16 October, a technical visit to Belgoprocess took place.
As the theme – “Strong history, bright future” – suggested, the symposium reflected on past accomplishments in waste management and decommissioning and shared visions from international, federal and regional experts on the role of nuclear energy in a sustainable development of society.
Approximately 150 managing directors and business leaders of national and international companies, as well as media, stakeholders and government officials attended this symposium to exchange views and share experiences.
